The following press release was featured in various magazines and online blogs, including The Evening Standard, The Metro, The Stylist, Top Gear Magazine, Design Week, Architects Journal, Coach Magazine, Gizmag and Sheerluxe:

London based architect firm, Adventure In Architecture°, has released images of its designs for the gym of the future. With time being a precious commodity for London commuters, Adventure In Architecture° created the concept with King of Gyms 1Rebel combining the commute with a HIIT workout by designing the world’s first gym studio inside a moving bus.

The firm has been working on the concept for several months, which features a spin studio inside a fully working bus. Commuters will sweat on their way to work - a safer and weatherproof alternative to the usual morning cycle.

Adventure In Architecture° teamed up with gym 1Rebel to create the concept, which will transport commuters from outer London to the City’s 1Rebel gym club where they can use the club’s five star showers and changing rooms.

Adventure In Architecture° is famous for its unusual projects including a mobile hotel, transportable eco pods and indoor assault courses as well as the more usual residential and commercial projects.

Director of 1Rebel, James Balfour, and Director of Adventure In Architecture° architects, Jon Beswick, worked on the design while on a recent trip to North Korea. The pair have also previously skied to the South Pole together, ran from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea and have climbed numerous mountains.

Jon Beswick, Director of Adventure In Architecture° comments: “This futuristic concept needs to match the aesthetic of their current gyms, industrial bunker meets metal spaceship. Expect sleek interiors for the high intensity commute of the future.”
